The Deutsche Cricket Union (DCU), in collaboration with the NRW Cricket Union (NRWCU) and Hessen Cricket Union (HCU), is proud to announce the official launch of a revolutionary 5G-based cricket technology – the first of its kind in European cricket at both league and grassroots levels.
This innovation marks a historic milestone in German cricket. After previously hosting landmark events such as the German Premier League and the Gala Awards Nights in 2014 and 2018, the DCU once again leads the way in cricket development and digital transformation.
The new 5G technology is designed to enhance player performance analysis, improve umpiring accuracy, provide in-depth league data insights, and pave the way for young talent to progress professionally within the sport.
To mark this significant advancement, DCU will host a launch event on 16 May 2025 in Cologne, featuring a three-hour seminar and a live 5G demonstration match.

• Exclusive to: Committee members of DCU, NRWCU, and HCU clubs
• Participation limited to 40 attendees (first come, first served)
• Each club may nominate 3 to 4 representatives
This exclusive gathering will also include a presentation of the DCU’s strategic roadmap for the 2025 season. It marks the beginning of a new era for cricket in Germany—one that embraces technology, transparency, and professional growth.
